In only a few short weeks, summer will be officially over. Thankfully, the September weather just gets better and it’s especially nice for a road trip.
There are so many things to do on the island, but if you’re in the mood to take the day or even the weekend to travel, there are a multitude of fall festivals to choose from.

Feast of San Gennaro

Adirondack Nationals Car Show

Adirondack Balloon Festival
Balloon flight of up to 20 balloons, balloon baskets on display, music, car show and kids activities.

A visual and performing arts festival with artists from all over the world showcasing their talents in theater, comedy, visual arts, family entertainment, music, dance, opera, poetry and more.
Bellmore Family Street Festival
Craft expo, kids expo, sports expo, , carnival rides and games, local business booths, food and more.
Tanner Park, Copiague
Long Island Family Festival
Games, rides, food, live music, pet expo, crafts, fashion show, balloon twisters, skate jam, cruise show and more.
Captree State Park
Dockside Family Festival

Lake George Jazz Festival
A weekend festival of outdoor entertainment down by the lake
Vendors of garlic inspired foods, crafts, music and just plain garlic to eat and plant. Blue grass and folk music. Children’s games and play equipment, pumpkin picking, pony rides, hay rides, and petting zoo. A Junior Iron Chef contest will also be held for kids ages 10-18.

Fall Garden and Harvest Festival
Activities, demonstrations, tours, garden displays, produce and plants, soil testing, pumpkins for painting, face painting, wool spinning and weaving, model train exhibit, Manor House tours.
Festival By the Sea
